A group of friends and myself meeting up from around the country had our birthday celebrations ruined by highly egotistical, and mentally fragile door staff. I head outside for five minutes at 11pm to put my jacket in the car and I was told I won't be let back in for 45 minutes because I've either 'had too much,' or 'I am on drugs' when neither accusations were true. We proceed to their sister club and paid entry to get into an empty venue for 45 minutes (non of us were on drugs or drunk at this club. Hmmm...). We then head back to King Street where I am still apparently drugged out, but security was fine with me driving home 2 hours high on drugs on public roads. Absolutely zero care for their patrons, and zero social responsibility.

Poor business practice. King Street Hotel does not care about whether you have a good time or not; they only care about reeling in as many people as possible into their small, awfully smelling venue after taking your money at the door.

Although it can be good if you are absolutely pissed, not the best club sorry to say. It's extremely dirty and even if you are drunk enough, you probably won't be let in. Music is pretty poor too

This business does not care for a strong, positive, and professional reputation. As long as people are turning 18 and handing them cover charge money they are laughing. If you are over the age of 20 I sternly advise you go elsewhere.

Worst experience. Security out the front were extremely rude and stubborn. I was refused entry & after I asked why I was not allowed in the security guard failed to provide a reason. He then physically shoved me out of the way (mind you he was a grown man & I am 18) which was completely unnecessary as I had done nothing to deserve that. He then used the excuse that I had 'attitude' for my denied entry... pathetic. Never will I return and I will warn others of the repulsive behaviour shown by the staff here. Pathetic!!

There are only really two places to go out and club in Newcastle. This is one of them.

The Potbellez were playing when I went. Great music. Doesn't really get good until after midnight with the dancing.
